Hello, I'm wondering if anyone can help me with a brick wall I've hit. My 3xg grandfather was a William Favell, who on all the census records states his place of birth as Swineshead Lincolnshire. Using his age from the census records he is born about 1822. He marries twice, in 1845 he marries a Margaret Lee in Greenwich, and in 1850 he is back in Lincoln where he marries Ann Marple. On both these marriage records he gives his father's name as William. I have searched and searched, checking the Swineshead baptism records, IGI etc, and can't find a William Favell born around the correct time with a father called William. If anyone is searching this family, or can shed any light I would be very, very grateful. Many thanks :)

I found this group on 1841 census:
Wm Favil (55), Anna Favil (45), Wm Favil (20) and Thos Favil (13), all born in Lincolnshire. Living at Wigtoft Fen Houses, Wigtoft, Swineshead, Boston.

Having seen the family that nanny jan found, that could be William FAVELL who married Hannah JACKSON (wid) at Skirbeck, 5 March 1821

I can see no children of this marriage in the IGI ... so perhaps they were christened in nonconformist chapel.
