hey everyone
is it possible someone can look at a birth cert for me?
because of the dates, it will not let me view it on sp.
i need to find out if a child was illegitimate, and who the father was.
this may be slightly confusing
mary kerr married hugh scott in 1908
they had a son, william scott, born 1913
william did not take the surname of scott, but took his mothers maiden name of kerr instead!!!!
this makes me think he was illegitimate.
can someone check out williams birth cert for me in edinburgh or the mitchell to find who is listed as his father?
william is the grandfather to one of my realtives in australia, and he really wants to know if his grandfather was illegitimate.
thanks

Hi Paul
I have been at SP today and looked up the information you requested. However since it is within the 100 year period, I will send you the details in a PM. The birth was registered in Partick, Glasgow, reference is 644/22 0139 - entered under both William Scott and William Kerr.
