Hi, can anyone tell me if I retain all my research on ancestry and can still log in if I cancel my ancestry subscription?
Obviously I won't have access to their records, but will I still have all the other information I've acquired?

Hello,
I cancelled mine recently and can still view records I have saved to my tree, and reply to inbox messages :) :)

Thanks!

Thinking of cancelling mine,it's practically useless for Scotland.

Your tree will still be there and folk can still contact you (and you can reply). Don't know about research as I only have my tree on it but would imagine you'll still be able to access it. I've never had anythng other than free subscription offers and it's been no problem when they expired.
Seoras - agree for Scotland, only handy for transcriptions of census and they aren't always well done!

Sound reasons to not take out a paid subscription I think!

I asked specifically about Scotland records when I was thinking about getting subscription. Hence I didn't purchase.
the local library branch just recently purchased a subscription so I can use if and when necessary. Also, the nearby family history library has a subscription.

When I cancelled I could still view my tree, but not the saved records.
