Title: Liverpool Echo
Post by: ginny44 on Friday 29 July 11 16:40 BST (UK)
Hello

I am researching my nan who was attacked in Liverpool in the late 1930's, and I have been told it was reported in the Liverpool Echo.  Can anybody tell me where I can access this please, as I have searched on line to no avail.

Many thanks in advance.

If you live in Liverpool  ask  at your local library.   as the Liverpool Echo  was a regional evening newspaper  for all of Merseyside,  the central libraries of southport,  Birkenhead   and maybe St. Helens  may have archive copies of the Echo on Microfiche.

Many thanks for that, but sadly it doesn't cover the 1930's.

Kind regards

Phone up the Central Library in Liverpool   look it up on www.liverpool.gov.uk

The central Library has been getting refurbished, I believe,   so some of the facilities may be temporarily  located elsewhere.

Alternatively, phone up the Liverpool Echo  and ask them where you can view archive copies of their papers  from the 1930s
