Hi!
I am interested in Michael Berridge - he is on the census for 1851 as living and having been born in Cottesmore - he is 50 (in 1851) and married to Mary Berridge, again born cottesmore and aged 52(1851).
I know that SMUDGE has also offered marriage look ups? Do you have their (Michael and Marry) marriage at all? Not sure when it was but it would be between 1810 and 1830 i would think.......and def cottesmore!
Cheers and thanks for your anticipated help!

Hello
I'm afraid I can't find the Michael, Mary marriage in the marriage index for Cot. What was Mary's maiden name? Or was it Berridge too?
I found these
Berridge John of Barrow tp Parnel Eliz otp 1821 Dec 31 L Cot
Berridge Thomas of Barrow tp Wiles Susannah p Exton 1764 Apr 01 * Cot
Berridge Wm farmer, otp (note 112) Wolfinden Frances of Barrow tp 1793 Oct 31 L Cot
Note 112 This marriage is stuck into the register.
I will look up the census later.

Thanks ever so much for that information! ;D
Very grateful. I don't know about her maiden name, so may have to wait on that one for the time being. I am suprised that the marriage isn't listed as they appear to have lived all their lives in Cottesmore but there you go.........these records aren't always accurate.
Thanks again.

:)
Thanks for that info! It is a little suprising - the 1851/1841 census list them as cottesmore residents and does not list them as being born elsewhere!! :-\
Brooke isn't miles away from cottesmore so I guess it is def possible! Will check more into this.
Thanks again for all your help.
