Hi
I wonder if anyone can help me. I am looking for my GG Grandmother, Sarah Anne Phillips. I believe she was born in Briton Ferry in Wales. She married my GG Grandfather Harley Dixon in Hexham, Northumberland in 1869, and all their children were born in that area. I'd love to find why she moved so far from her roots. I've not been able to locate her on any census. I've just written to the Neath RO for a copy of her Birth Certificate, but thought I'd ask on here before I post the letter!
I've obtained a copy of her marriage certificate, and her father is listed as George Phillips, Labourer, Deceased.
Any help, advice or suggestions would be gratefully received.
Thanks

1861 census
Boatside, Warden
Harley Dixon 22 Boarder born Haltwhistle Shoemaker.
Boatside Warden is about 5 mins walk from KingshawGreen so he doesn't seem to have moved much. Most likely is that Sarah arrived as a servant with some gentry or clerical family.

Thanks for the replies. I hadn't seen them on the 1871 census - probably the Thomas that put me off.
I thought that Sarah A would probably have come as a servant, but I can't find her anywhere. I don't think the family have moved north, her father was a labourer, not skilled employment, so can't see a reason for him to move. I can't find a death for him (George Phillips) either, so can't confirm if they moved or not.
