Title: St.Augustines Convent - Hull
Post by: michelew on Friday 22 July 11 15:06 BST (UK)
Does anyone have access to the following book

" Overalls and sashes," reminiscences of the French Convent Canonesses of St. Augustine, Park Grove, Hull, by Irene Megginson.    Out of stock on e-bay and too far to go to the Library to see if on the shelf.

I am interested to see if there is anything written about a teacher - May Mara - she could be known as Mary or Maria - the time after 1901 when she is still at home and 1919 when she is registered ith the Teachers Registration Council.

Hi,

Not sure if it's of use to you but the book appears to be available on Amazon marketplace, it's £17.80 delivered, is that a reasonable price?, the other copy listed as being available is a fair bit more then that :o
