Spouse Elizabeth _ _ _ _ _  born abt 1803 in the parish of Long Houghton, Northumberland.

first child Richard born abt 1831, Ingram.

There is a marriage of Thomas Short and Elizabeth Dodds on 25 May 1825 at Newcastle St Nicholas.Its on Bishops transcripts pg 62(under Durham St Nicholas)
