Would there be anyone kind enough to help me find some famil please.
I am looking for:
John Rugg born 1797 - Milverton Somerset (on 1861 census aged 64 and a widower)
Sarah Rugg -wife- born possibly Shoreditch age unknown
Sarah Ann Rugg - born 1837 - possibly Shoreditch/limehouse
Alfred Sturgeon Rugg - born 1839 Limehouse,
In 1839 at the time of Alfred's birth there are 2 addresses on his birth certificate, where he was born - Regent Terrace Limehouse and John's address was given as Salmon's Lane, Limehouse - occupation Builder/timber merchant.
My task is to find more children. As John and Sarah were married in 1822, Shoreditch London I am assuming that there must be more children.
Any help would be really appreciated.
Many thanks
Helen

They were not in 1851 bethnal Green or Whitechapel. There was a Sarah but living with Henry
There is a Rugg family in 1851 surname only indexes for St George in the East
HO 107/1547 folio 216
Someone will look up this reference in the actiual census. If noone has after a week then ask again quoting reference number and names.

Ann Rugg b. c1795
I am interesting in trying to trace Ann Rugg who married Henry Banks 28 Dec 1807 St. Mary, Rotherhithe.
Based on what I know about Henry Banks, a currier of Tower Hamlets/Essex/Bethnal Green, and assuming this Ann Rugg is his wife, I would expect that this Ann Rugg was a silk weaver and lived around Booth Street, Montague Street and Osborne Street area. She would have been born c1795.
I would also expect that a friend of hers was Mary Ann Mason or Mrs. John Robbins of the Church Dustrict, Bethnal Green.
