Good morning,
I have traced my relative John Mason who was born on 10 April 1797. He was christened on 21 May 1797 at St Peter, Bolton le Moors, Lancs. His parents were Thos. Mason and Mary. I can't find any further records online and would be very grateful if anybody could provide me with any further clues about this line of my family.
Kind regards,
Kate

Hiya Kate...there is a possibility they had another John Mason who may have died
John Mason christened 27th april 1794 Bolton Le Moors parents Thomas and Mary
Mary Mason christened 30th January 1796 B L Moors parents Thomas and Mary
Thomas Mason christened 16th april 1797 B L Moors ....parents Thomas and Mary
but this conflicts with your John christened the same year on 21st May....??...maybe there were 2 couples named Thomas and Mary Mason....??
Could Thomas and John have been twins ? - Thomas was poorly and babtised within a week of birth as he wasn`t expected to live ....who knows ??
anyway...I would imagine at least one of these other children were a sibling to John

a possible marriage ??
Thomas Mason to Mary Hoof 17th July 1786 in Deane by Bolton ,Lancs ...extracted record
it may be worthwhile trying to find any children born 1786 -1793 in Deane by Bolton....they may have moved to Bolton Le Moors around 1794 where the birth of the first John took place.... all supposition , but may be possible
