Hello Everyone
I am new to this site and love what is happening here. i think this will become a favourite very soon. I have a wedding photo from early 1900's but not sure of exact date could anybody help me. It could be 1902 or 1907 but may be later. Unfortunaletly I only have a photocopy at present but the original is mounted on quite thick card and has the photographic studio Merriman and Rumbold, Southall Green printed on the front, nothing on the back.

Hello & welcome
for future reference can you scan your photos in colour rather than greyscale & when you resize don't compress the photo as it loses it's definition & all we're left is are black & white blobs.
The older women at the back still have the 1890's bonnets so I would say early in the decade.1900-05.

thank you. I was leaning toward the 1902 wedding date I had, so that is probably correct. The picture was a photocopy as I couldn't get it through my rather small scanner hence the poor quality of the photo.

The better the quality the better the chance of giving an accurate date.

This photograph was actually taken by a relation of mine! I have been researching the Merriman family, Henry James Merriman set up a photograpy business with a Mr Rumbold in Southall.(Henry went on to marry Bessie M Rumbold). Going by the 1901 and 1911 census I believe their photography business was only run for a limited time and 1902 would fit in with its span.
