I wonder if anyone is able to look up an inquest which may have been reported in the local paper at the time?
Samuel Bairstow, aged 8 months, 12 Victoria Terrace, Cudworth. Died 16 November, 1903. Death Certificate shows that Inquest was held on 17 November, 1903.
Thanks,
Sandra

Hi
Barnsley Library have the Barnsley Chronicle & South Yorkshire Times archives, hopefully Samuel's inquest will be reported in at least one of them.
I have to go down in the next couple of weeks (depending on when I 'don't' have my Grandchildren!)
I will be happy to check them out for you.
cheers
Pat :)

Thanks very much, Pat. I don't really expect anything out of the ordinary. However, I did a look up in my local library last week, following a request on this board, and it was a long, interesting article which gave family details as well. That's really why I decided to try for this one.

Many thanks to Pat (sunscreen) for doing this look up, even though nothing was found.
