Title: Wolverhampton Burial
Post by: Ruth J on Thursday 14 July 11 22:16 BST (UK)
If anyone is going to Wolverhampton Archives in the near future would they mind looking for the burial of a Mary Clark(e) between 1851 and 1861 please.  I have her on the 1841 census aged 65 yrs living in Salop Street, Wolverhampton and aged 82 yrs on the 1851 census again living in Salop Street, Wolverhampton.

Many thanks

well part of it as far as I know.  her husband was benjamin who she married in 1820.  She was a widow when she married him.  On the marriage it says Mary Dean, widow so I don't know her maiden name either.

You are asking for a burial search between 1841 -1851 for somebody who was still alive during that 10yr period

Hiya Ruth

There is a bit of an age difference between the 1841 and the 1851 census

There is the following on the Wolverhampton Archive site which might fit but you would probably need the death certificate to see if they name her husband on it and confirm its her

Merridale Cemetery CLARK Mary 84years buried 25 Sep 1853 residence Great Berry Street St.Peters Parish Widow grave 4540 cause of death Old age

Hiya Ruth

I know you said you didnt know Mary's maiden name

Looking at the acrhives there is a burial of a William Dean aged 45 at St Peters 12.6.1819 could this possibly be her first husband?

There are the following marriages at St Peters

DEAN William b 31 Dec 1811 VARDON Mary s Lic
DEAN William b 23 Jan 1815 DUCKASS Mary s B
