Title: Missing Hudsons, possibly Sussex or Wales...
Post by: alllegs on Wednesday 13 July 11 17:50 BST (UK)
Hi,

I'm researching on behalf of a friend and I'm stuck already...

My friends grandfather was Aubrey Joseph Hudson, he married Elsie Muriel Bee (nee Millyard) (born 1921, Brighton) at some point before 1956. His parents were Arthur Hudson and Deborah (nee ?)

Family who remember them think they originated from Wales but moved to Sussex at some point...

I can't find any BMD's of Aubrey or his parents...

Thanks in anticipation

His parents were Arthur Hudson and Deborah (nee ?)

See the marriage in 1915 in Hereford - mother was not Deborah - Ellen M Phillips

Thank you Rosie and Carole, that's great information. Weird it's Ellen not Deborah, the family are certain she was Deborah. Maybe she had an alias

Thanks again

They can be found fairly easily in 1891 separately of course but I have been casting about in 1901 without success so far she is born 1883 Church Stretton Shops. That is if they are the correct pair of course.

Hi the pre marriage Deborah is shown incorrectly as Deborah E Proffitt aged 18 b Church Stretton, shown as Niece to John E Proffit and Hannah, the parents of Deborah Phillips in 1891 are Arthur Charles and Deborah, both Hannah Proffitt and Deborah Phillips, were Simpsons prior to marriage.
