Title: Acton St Mary's lookup please
Post by: molliedog on Thursday 07 July 11 00:29 BST (UK)
Hi,
I am after any Cheney births/burials in Acton parish please, especially any refering to a James or John Cheney.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Kristy

Can you give some idea as to the timescale?

Timeframe would be 1700's, especially late 1700's to early/mid 1800's if possible please.

Have a look at familysearch.org under Europe, then England, Cheshire Parish Registers, type in Cheney for the surname and Acton for the place and you will find some in the time period you are after.

Hi, Molliedog, worked my way through 30 years from 1750 to 1780 baptisms for St Mary's Acton today, so far no sign of a Cheney. Will continue next week.

Thanks so much for what you are doing Kath. We have found burials in Acton for some of the Cheney's mentioned, so hopefully they might have had some baptisms there too!!
