Hi all
I have another photo of one of my great Aunts - Aunty Florence Holdsworth. You can see that it is a scan in or photocopy _ _ I wondered if any body could improve this photo - ie make it look more like a photo / clearer/ maybe with some colour. I knwo it is a difficult one but this is the only copy i have so am hoping some clever people might be able to help. Thanks so much.

Pineapple, I'm printing out your last reply and then I'm off out to buy a frame for it :D. My parents used to have friends called Holdsworth in Holmfirth. Any connection?

Hi Tiger - glad you liked my response! I am still in awe and amazed ! absolutely loving your work Thank you so much.
I have a few Holdsworths mostly in Woodhouse, Leeds and Hunslet in West Yorkshire though; I will keep my eyes open as I am currently researching all my Holdsworths - would love to find a link,if i come across any in Holmfirth I will email you :D Thanks again Tiger - am so pleased and happy with your work :D

I do have some picture of the whole family of these Holdsworths (I should say their mothers name was nee Simpson) if that is any help.

I only knew Roy Holdsworth and wife Rose. His birth is registered at Huddersfield in 1906 on free-bmd. Here's a pic about 1940ish with Roy far right and Rose leftmost holding seaweed.

Wow what a fabulous picture this is ! Strangely I have a couple of Roy Holdsworths I think though they were born in the Hunslet area. Oh to find a photo like this - superb. Thanks :D

It's a tiny 2 x 4" sepia which I blew up and coloured, taken in Isle of Man I think. It's possible they are distant relatives, you never know.

That is a fantastic job you have done on that photo - there's hope for my little photos I find then. It is just super like a painting wonderful.
