Can anyone help me with information about Bernard Bonner?
He was born in Co. Donegal about 1900 and was often called Barney. He was married with a family but left 'under a cloud'.
There was a Mary or Molly Sharkey in the same village. The place names Kincaslough and Buncrana have been mentioned.
The names Agnes, Susan, Michael, Patrick and Edward could be relevant.
He is the man on the left on the back row in the photo - and it was taken in Corby, Northants.

This is the closest I could find to a Bernard Bonner born c1900 Co. Donegal-

His marriage certificate would at least confirm his father's name.

Oh thanx for that. It does look about the right date.
He didn't say much about his home in Ireland. We know his family were farmers, he had at least two brothers, one a priest (nothing unusual) and two sisters. Some emigrated to America.
Also you could see the sea from the house.
Not much to go on I know.

Looks like sea views from at least part of the townland-

It really could be either. I do wish I had more info. When looking at the archives it puzzles me as what townlands and DEDs are exactly.

Did Bernard marry in UK? Do you have his marriage/death cert which may have parents names.

Have a Look at DONEGAL RESOURCES at the top of this board- reply #3 has information on townlands, etc.

No as he apparently left a family behind in Donegal.
He did have 3 sons and 2 daughters in England.
He died in April 1962 in Grantham, Lincolnshire
