Strange but her parents John Price and Winifred Price nee Foy are not traceable in the 1901 census yet I cant find their deaths before then...i have a possible for Winifred in 1904 death entry for Chorlton.....

The Winifred death in 1904 is aged 48,
she married 1878,so she had other children I assume, is Winifrid with them in 1901,
-
I think Winifred was born circa 1857-1859 going off the 1881 and 1891 census so the 1904 death would fit. This is the reference for the family in 1891 in case it helps the search:-
Class: RG12; Piece: 3194; Folio 125; Page 17
The other children are Thomas born 1878, John born circa 1883, Margaret Ann born 1887 and Mary born 1891/possibly died 1893 (I was helping Pricey with some baptisms on another thread earlier - http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,535558.10.html)
I haven't been able to pin down the family in 1901.
There is an army record dated 1903 for a John Price born in Hulme, aged 22 years and 9 months but that would put his d.o.b. at circa 1880 (5572 Kings Royal Rifles). He is single but I can't see any next of kin information to link him to this family and there is another John Price born in Hulme in 1879.

I think this is John Price, the soldier, in 1901 at Verne Citadel Barracks, Weymouth - born 1883 in Manchester:-

But still not sure if its your John Price.

I cant find any of the family in the 1901 census.....John Price and Winifred Price are no trace neither are any of the children namely Thomas B 1878, John, Margaret Anne and Mary ( but she may have died aged 3 )
I do know that Thomas b 1878 joined the Army at the outbreak of WW1 and died 1915 leaving 2 sons and a wife behind and it is possible he was a regular before WW1 same as with his brother John potentially I suppose.
Is there any way of tracing them re military service and I note later entrty re John on 1901 census at a barracks down south.
Just seems odd they all disappear in 1901 unless they moved out of Manchester or abroad.

Is there a way of obtaining the death certificate for Winifred for 1904?? Is it a case of getting a copy from the records office in Manchester???
-
I think the only way to get a death certificate is to either order it either in Manchester or direct from the GRO:-
www.gro.gov.uk
I have checked Manchester Online Burials and can't see a burial that might match the death in 1904. It is possible, being Roman Catholic, that she may have been buried in St Joseph's at Moston.

Have you checked for any of the children in 1911? We can't do 1911 look ups on Rootschat but there is a free index you could use:-

There is a Thomas Price born Hulme, Manchester who was killed in Egypt on 8 Apr 1915 but again I can't find any proof that it is your Thomas Price.

I believe that is my great grandfather Thomas Price b 1878 to Winifred & John.
The Thomas Price who died in Egypt is PVT 2519 Price of Lancs Fusilliers.
He lived on Lord Street Hulme in the immediate area where my Price family lived and where my Dad was born in 1938.
My great grandfather Thomas Price lived on Melbourne St Hulme according to 1911 census and had 2 children Thomas & John, Thomas being my grandfather.
Thomas B 1878 married Mary Ann Stone who remarried as a widow in 1917.
This is why I believe PVT 2519 Thomas Price is in fact my great grandfather however I cant find his NOK so cant be 100% sure which is really frustrating!!!!!
I have his death cert which is around a year out from my actual great grandfathers DOB.

I think Margaret Ann Price married Ernest Brown in 1905 at St Stephen's Hulme. The parish registers for St Stephen's should be online but typically they aren't working at the moment. I emailed Family Search last week but haven't had a reply :(.
This is the link anyway:-
