According to the 1841 census

Elizabeth GUBB was born around 1815 in Kentisbury.

Wondering is anyone had access to records that would give her baptism date and parents.

On familysearch.org found the following:-
Elizabeth GUBB Bc1811 Combemartin, Devon

Father: Henry GUBB - christened 9.12.1789 Combe Martin, Devon
married 17.12.1810
Mother: Ann Bowden - born 1789 Combe Martin

Did this Henry GUBB marry twice?  Looks as though Elizabeth was daughter from second marriage.
 
There is this listed
Henry GUBB christened 9.12.1789 married Mary SAUNDERS 31.3.1788.  Mary Saunders was born before 1792.

It would be worth you searching the website familysearch.org are they are many GUBBs listed at Combe Martin and for sure they are related!

The 1881 Census is also listed.

William's mother was Elizabeth Challacombe Bc1770 Combe Martin
William and Elizabeth Brooks nee Gubb had the following children:
1. Eliza Brooks christened 7.1.1816 Combe Martin.  Buried July 1818 Mar.  ('Mar' possibly means Combe Martin???)
2. Mary Ann Brooks christened 14.7.1817 Combe Martin
3. Richard Brooks christened 26.12.1819 Combe Martin.  He died 16.4.1878 Widnes, Lancashire
4. Elizabeth Brooks christened 5.6.1822 Combe Martin
5. Charles Brooks christened 10.10.1824 Combe Martin
6. William Brooks christened 26.10.1826 Combe Martin Died 26.8.184 (sic - last digit omitted)
7. Merria Brooks B.26.10.1827 Combe Martin Christened 31.8.1829 Combe Martin
8. Jane Brooks Christened 9.3.1833 Combe Martin Died 12.9.1833 and Buried 15.9.1833 Combe Martin
9. Jane Brooks christened 24.8.1834 Combe Martin

Hello Dale, Found your request about Eliza Gubb. I am researching an Eliz Gubb who married Henry Watts ??  I have her born in 1815 in Devon.  we may have common ancestry. Eliz and Henry lived in the Yambuk area.

Am trying to connect your Henry Watts to my Henry Watts. If you send a couple more messages to Rootschat we can then correspond through the Personal Messaging system.

I believe your Henry Watts is the son of Thomas Watts and Mary Bynon - I cant find a baptism or birth for Henry - but can find a marriage of his parents and the births of his siblings.

These appear to be the only Watts family in this area at this time.
