Title: Parents of David McIntyre - Linlithgow 1881??
Post by: NellyB on Thursday 23 June 11 21:07 BST (UK)
Could somebody please take alook and see if they can get the names of the parents of David McIntyre born 1881 Linlithgow.

As that is a VERY common name I will try to give a little more detail.

I believe his father to be Peter McIntyre (b. 1851) and his mother's first name to be Margaret (b. circa1853) surname unknown.

David had siblings including:
Isabella 1875
Thomas 1877
Helen 1879

Many Thanks

1881 census entry seems to indicate that David's father was Peter.  To confirm, you should view the birth entry on ScotlandsPeople (pay per view but quite reasonable).  David was only two months old at the time of the census and Peter was a forester.

Margaret's maiden name was Martin.  But I can't find a marriage.  However, the birth entry for any of the children should give the date and place of the parents' marriage.
