Title: Llewellyn
Post by: deeni on Wednesday 22 June 11 18:48 BST (UK)
My great aunt, Violet Mary Plunkett of Dublin, born 15 Dec 1881, married Fred Llewellyn, I think in 1919.  Would anyone know anything about this family and if there are any descendants?

I can't see any Llewellyn births with a Plunkett as mother's maiden name on www.freebmd.org.uk

Thanks.  That's sad, it looks as if she died within the year of marriage.  Apart from my grandmother, Monica, none of Violet's six siblings, apart from one unmarried daughter, had children.  One sister was drowned when the SS Leinster was torpedoed by the Germans in 1919.

Here I am many years later.   I have just come across in the Probate Calendar of England & Wales the notice of probate of my ggreat aunt Violet Mary LLewellyn (nee Plunkett) who died on 14 August 1920 nine months after her marriage to Frederick Llewellyn.  I guess she may have died in childbirth.  If she did, the baby must have died too She left £4,128.   I would like to have a look at her will to see if it all was left to her husband.  Not sure yet how to go about that.
