Evening all

a long shot here but has anyone got a photograph of the old Regal Cinema, St Andrews Road, Exmouth please?

The building started life as the Manor Theatre in 1921 but was used as a cinema and then a ballroom in the 1950s before becoming Samanthas.

It is the period when it was a cinema/ballroom I would like if poss.

I am sorry I havent an old photo of the Regal Ballroom exmouth, only more recent during the Samantha years. i was born in St Andrews Road and walked by the ball room every day. Freddie Sparks was the orgainsit at the time. happy memories. Hope you have luck finding an old photo

Not sure that you will still be looking after all this time,but in case you are.
If you google "Exmouth Regal" and click on images you will get recent photos.
Or Devon at the Cinema by Gordon Chapman has a photo as Samantha nightclub.The same photo is in the Cinema Theatre association bulletin volume 40 no 4, which would cost about £4 from their webstite,which may be cheaper than obtaining the glossy 'Devon at the cinema',if your local library doesn't have it.There is also a photo in volume 45 no 2 but i haven't checked that to see if it's the same.
Anyway if you visit their website you could ask if they have an older photo in their archive,or perhaps they could ask their members in the next bulletin.
