These are all births as listed on Family Search - the baptism dates are listed too. They are a mixture of extracted and submitted entries. Extracted more reliable!
http://www.familysearch.org/eng/search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=igi/search_IGI.asp&clear_form=true
Put parents names in mother/father bit, select birth for event, set for British Isles and Scotland and they'll come up.

hi thank you for the reply i dont hold any faith in submitted records unless there is documentation to back them up i have used the igi search to help verify some entries in my tree but i never use submitted records. beans

Hi 'beans'
If you want the GRO Death Image for James Hynd Jnr. in 1894, I can send it to you if you PM me with your e-mail address.
I didn't bother paying for Agnes [Russel] Hynd's 1912 death image.
Aye,

Hi, I've come to this pretty late on but I do have some information you might be interested in. I have a saved search with the dates of James Hynd and Helen Penman's children as:
Elspet 19/10/1817
Alexander 4/8/1821
Euphemia 19/8/1823
William 20/7/1825
Agnes 27/7/1827
James 21/12/1829
I have a parish record of the death of a James Hynd in Crossgates in 1839. It might be the right James Hynd as his son Alexander married Mary (Maria) Geddes from Crossgates 17/4/1841 and they are in the 1841 census in Crossgates. The age at death looks like 32 though so that is unlikely to be him. There are so many Hynds in the area it's easy to confuse them.
I am a direct descendent of James & Helen and I also came across another of your posts enquiring about John Hynd and Beatrice Muir who were my great great grandparents. Happy to share any information I have and would be interested to hear what info you have.

Hi!
I've just being doing some research for a friend on my Who's Who Of Hynds group on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/whoswhoofhynds/?fref=ts) into her Hynd family, which intersects with your Hynd family tree.
I've built a basic family tree on Ancestry for at least one branch of the Hynd family from the James Hynd & Agnes Russell marriage down to the present day.
I'm happy to send you an invitation to this tree if you let me know your Ancestry userid.
If you're not on Ancestry, I could send you a Gedcom of the tree if you prefer.
All the best with your Hynd family tree research.
Best wishes, Paul R Hynd

Hello,
I am the 3x great granddaughter of James and Nellie. I've got extensive (verified) information of the Hynd family in the Dunfermline area, and still live locally.
I've been having a real problem with sorting out all the Elspeth (various spellings) Hynd's -which I think have done now BUT can anyone give me a date for the birth of Elspeth (aka Elsie) the daughter of Henry (sometimes using the middle name of Geddes) Hynd and Helen (sometimes Spowart) Adam. She was born about 1850 in Dunfermline, probably in the Parkneuk or Whitemyre area. I have the dates for every one of her siblings, just not her. She married Robert Mitchell in 1912 and had a son in 1914. She died in Dunfermline in 1959.

Hi Paul I am not sure if I sent you a reply but I would love to compare our trees to see If I have any other errors that you might be able to help me correct. My ancestry ID is Kathi227. And for Marion I also do not have a full date for this Elspeth Hynd. Beans

Hi Beans,
I think all my trees are public and you will find all my Hynds on All my Kith and Kin. MarionHWest I just keep the basic info on Ancestry, the rest is on another database, and if you want particulars just let me know.
.
by the way you can check out the Dunfermline & West Fife Family History Group on Facebook.

Hi MW :) ,
She was born about 1850 in Dunfermline, probably in the Parkneuk or Whitemyre area. I have the dates for every one of her siblings, just not her. She married Robert Mitchell in 1912 and had a son in 1914. She died in Dunfermline in 1959.
Looking at the 1959 death for Elspeth , her birth year is c1879 :-\

Sorry that was my typo. She]was born abt 1880, but I still can't find her birth. It's driving me nuts - I'll have to find out where she's baptised - if she was. I just wonder why I can find all the others and not her. I keep hoping one of her Mitchell descendants has the family bible!! with the details in it.

I don't have more information about her birth, but am finding this discussion interesting, since I'm also a direct descendant of Henry Hynd and Helen Penman, through their son, Alexander, and his son Henry (who married Helen Adam). Their son David was my great grandfather, so I know more about that line.
