Could it be Le Clastra?

Here's a list of townlands of County Monaghan
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_townlands_in_County_Monaghan
-
thanks for the list there's a awfull lot of places that it could be :(
-
I agree with Heywood, next you need to cross reference the name with the townland which we don't know.
Good luck,

Why don't you check for that surname in Monaghan on census? If he/she is a resident of there why not look for kin?
-
is there a census for Monaghan ? I thought they were all distroyed
surname is Green and the whole family came over to the UK sometime in the 1850-60s last child I have was born 1845 in Ireland they would have been baptised in Ireland in the RC church No more children born after that or if there were any they might have died as they aren't on any census.
The 1911 has been the only census that 2 of the children have given a place in Ireland all the others just say Ireland
-
The first surviving census for all Ireland is 1901 (it and 1911 census are online free).

See reply #2 in MONAGHAN RESOURCES to see what census records and substitutes for Monaghan might survive-

Griffiths Valuation (c 1850s) has no Green surnames but there are similar ones - Greenan and Greene.

or

Coincidentally, there are Greenans in Lecklevera (Civil Parish Killeevan)

thankyou for all the info it's going to take me hours to look at all of it but well worth it if I manage to find anything
-
first on your posting looks like toombridge Antrim. then resided ?????????????? what follows or is that a death cert and if it is where was the death registered. it may have been the name of a house Roisin
-
Both places say Resident above the placename.
Added- looks like a phoentic spelling of Lecklevera townland (this was suggested earlier)

it's a 1911 census
I have found a couple of Greenan living in LECKLEVERA on the griffiths valuation but so far no mathing births or marriages

If you are searching in the civil registration index for births or marriages which took place in Lecklevera they will be listed under the registration district (Monaghan) rather than the actual townland.
Hint: to find registration district for a townland go to http://www.thecore.com/seanruad and do search for the townland- this will show the Poor Law Union which is almost always the registration district.
