When you say you're loking for Joseph Harman-in what context?

Birth, death, marriage or on censuses?

If he's the one who married the widow Lucrecia Price at St James Shoreditch on 5th August 1861-then you'll find that his father was a Brass Founder.

any context-no other info other than the marriage certificate.

don't know where or when he was born, don't know what type of mariner he was.

Lucretia CUDDEFORD was baptised at St Leonard Shoreditch 15 Apr 1827, born 28 March. She married William PRICE in 1845 at same church. Might help find her on later census

That's what we've all just found out for you- didn't know if you knew that or not.
We usually go sidewards to go backwards if we can't immediately find someone on a census.

We are hoping that if we find the kids, mum shouldn't be too far away.
But it's not proving to be the case so far.Maybe she went off with hubby on his trips as a mariner?

I also just found it Heyford.  :)

There is a possible death aged 38 for Joseph in 1868?
as Louisa a widow in 1871.

Marine Store Dealer looks like you are certainly correct.

Maybe a will.?

I wonder why Eliza said she was Full Age on Marriage being only 19.

That's good Carol - thank you.

If sLucretia was a marine store dealer - maybe Joseph was on the canals and therefore could have come from anywhere  :-\

I think that title could cover a range of dealing activities - not necessarily things 'maritime'.

Mary Ann is a niece with a 'Cuderford' family

On their marriage, Joseph and Lucretia are living at '3 Colt Court'.

According to 1861 census street guide 'Three Colt Court' pages are missing  :(

hi

thanks for the replies, i have ( i think explored every avenue) the children listed on the 1871 census are i think the children of William Price and Lucretia Cuddeford, as far as i know Lucretia only had one child with Joseph Harman and that was Eliza born abt 1863.

thanks for looking

Hi Carol.  ;D

Did not get replies, good to see the extra information you found.

Missing pages and further posting from nvb272 looks like the end.  :(

Any idea when William died. ?

Hi, not sure if you're still researching this but I was interested to see this post when I was searching for Three Colt Court for Louisa Cuddeford/Price/Harman in the 1861.  She was my GG Grandmother.  I know Joseph was residing at 36 Blanchard Road, Dalston, in 1871 whilst Louisa was living in Tottenham, so they didn't seem to stay together very long.
I know his daughter Elizabeth married George Bunyan and her half sister Emma Price married George's brother Josiah.  It's all very confusing isn't it.
Best Wishes
Jan
