My ancestor Archibald Elliott b.1814, emigrated to Canada from Garty Lough prior to 1840. He married Sarah, the daughter of Abraham Pratt who had also emigrated from County Cavan
There were two Elliott's (Archibald and Thomas) listed as Arvagh townsite tenants of the Earl of Gosford in the early 1800's.
Buried in the Arvagh Church of Ireland cemetery are two headstones of interest:
William Elliott b.1805 d.1914, age 109
and
Wife of ??? - Mary Ann Law alias Elliott d. Sept. 19, 1839 age 37 ( ?)
Are any of these 4 related to one another and to my ancestor?
Brian Elliott

IF you are related to William Elliott and Susannah Little, are from France you are most definitely related. Can help you trace your roots if you wish.

Do you know Elliott's family? i just know they live in England and Canada actually...

Yes the Elliotts are my mothers family..have plenty of old pictures and pictures of the house they built when they came to Canada. It stands to this day and is very beautiful. We had a chance to finally see it last fall..there was such a feeling of being home and at peace. Will try and attach it for you. A well as Joseph Elliott and his grave.
You would be related to William son of William Elliott who during WWII was stationed in France ..correct?

:)
This is a long shot but I was wondering if you have James Elliot in your tree :)
He was a shoemaker by trade. I am researching (trying hard ::) ::)) to find info on his daughter Margaret Elliot born about 1810 who also went by the names DUKE, HAMILTON, HUNT/HUNTER for whatever reason, I am not sure - I think maybe a few marriages ???
:) The family migrated to Scotland in the about 1850's.
Also trying to find a birth for Maryanne Hunt/Hunter/Hamilton/Elliot/Duke who was born Belturbet about 1846 without much success.
Hoping someone maybe able to shed some light on my very elusive ancestors :-\

I am looking for William John Elliott probably born in Clones, Ireland son of "Robert Elliott" and Jane Little probably from Arvagh, Ireland.
Can you help? I have a large amount on the Canadian family.
Thank you,
