2 Coleshill St Birmingham. The boy at the front was my grandfather born 1887 and the man at the door is my great grandfather born 1856. Sorry its in very bad condition, any improvement would be good.

Hi Barbara,the boy at the front looks about 10/12 dating this 1897/99 but I think the photo looks a bit later,early 1900's.

can't help with dating, but I think the young lad at the front of your first picture is about 7 or 8. I see that the bicycle he is holding has a lady's frame, with no crossbar, and seems to be smaller than the cycle leaning against the shopfront.
Can't tell if it's the same boy as your second picture, but if it is, then it would predate the second picture by two or three years.
Hopefully this reply will bring the photo up the board for more experienced daters to have a go!
Love the picture, though, Lots of detail and atmosphere. In fact, in both pictures that's so.
