Hi
Can anyone tell me where a person from the Shalmors/Chalmers Street Greenock around 1932 to 1943 would have been buried. Almost certain the family would have been Presbyterian. Northern Ireland here so not to familiar with Scotland.
Thank you

OK, I have a note from a fellow researcher that he was indeed brought back home, by his son Samuel, and buried in Kilaloo cemetery (I assume meaning the church graveyard, so most likely Holy Trinity Parish Church do you think?).

Was his wife buried back in Ireland too?
-
Not known at moment. She was second wife, all children born to first wife, so I suppose it is possible that she was buried in Scotland.

It is strange that he was taken back to Ireland if his wife was still living in Scotland
Could it just be a stone in his memory that is erected in Ireland

Have just read these notes. There was a Chalmers street in Greenock. It was just off the south side of Port Glasgow Road below Gibshill. As it was so close the the boundary between Greenock and Port Glasgow some people from the area were buried in Port Glasgow cemetary.
