Title: Eire BMDs
Post by: devongirl on Sunday 05 June 11 16:29 BST (UK)
Turning to the Irish side of my family, I know very little and need to start with the birth of my in laws which would have been around 1912. I have searched in vain for an Irish equivalent of the GRO registers for Births, marriages and deaths.   Could someone please point me in the right direction.

Thank you

You can search for BMD registrations on familysearch, and if you find possible matches then order certs from the GRO (Roscommon)  - see : Introduction to Irish Records (http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,442233.0.html)
