I found this 17th June marriage on freereg, but it only records the pair of them - both as of Rockfield.
I've not been able to find any other trace of the families in Rockfield, Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

You might be able to add more by searching these recods

Thanks RCB - does something like this exist for other counties? If so where is the index please.
-
RCB - this is an excellent source for me. I am transcribing the imaged register at present (for my own use) and wanted to offer it to the web site, but can't find an e:mail address - do you know of one for them

This post from you was 4 years ago - hope you're still around!
This marriage, Rockfield 1729, is on my family tree with a few hundred other Vaughans [mostly Monmouthshire]. I'd like to know what you know, please.

Yes I'm still pegging along. Not much further backward (so to speak) with this pair (my 5 times great grand parents). "All (I) know" is a tall order!
I have a contemporaneous Joseph Vaughan who married Elizabeth Jones in Lea/Newland Gloucester 24th July 1724 (also my 5 x GGP), and given the apparent rarity of Joseph Vaughan individuals I have conjectured that they are cousins sharing an (unlocated as yet) grandfather Joseph.
I identify my 2 known Josephs as of Rockfield and of MelinGriffith (the tin plate works).
Joseph and Elizabeth spawned my 4 x GGF Thomas Vaughan (1731-1822) who left biographical notes.
Ann Price (1699, Rockfield-1782, Woodside) was the daughter of Thomas and Bridget, her will may be the one in National Library of Wales (1783, widow, Rockfield)
Joseph and Ann had a daughter Ann (1731-1791, Pentyrch) who married (8-5-1755, Rockfield) Thomas (1731-1822, Whitehouse), the son of Joseph and Elizabeth. Their daughter Ann married Howell Yorath (my 3 x GGP)
Perhaps if you could be a bit more specific about where our ancestors might coincide, I will dig out any pertinent stuff from my files.

Looks like we're hanging off the same family tree - all the data you posted is familiar to me. Are you the Mr Spencer who has a tree posted on Ancestry? If so, maybe I could offer a few new leads ,and some amendments based on my sixty-one years' research [now culminating in a book 'Three Centuries of the Vaughans' in 15 chapters!]

I have sent you an e:mail with a short tree and accompanying notes

Hi, My wife Sandra Gailey is the descendant of an Elizabeth Vaughan of Rockfield who married William Gailey of Monmouth in Rockfield on 13.10.1788. Elizabeth signed the Register with a "X". I am exploring as to whether this Elizabeth if the granddaughter of Joseph Vaughan and Ann Price.

Hi, Further to my earlier post, This entry refers to my wife Sandra's ancestors. This is an entry in the Monmouth Catholic Register of St. Pauls, Perthir.
"1804 Aug. 6 born and 12 bap. John son of William Gayly and Elizabeth (Vaughan.) vSpons : William Price, Elizabeth Thomas. By G. Gildart. "
May I suggest that William Price and Elizabeth Thomas were cousins.

Sorry James, I have no record of Gayley/Gailey. The Vaughans of Rockfield seem to have been prolific though.
