Title: Crinkhill Barracks, Birr, Co. Offaly, Ireland

I wonder would anyone have any information about Crinkhill Barracks, Birr, Co. Offaly.  I have an ancestor who was stationed there.  I know he was a Captain.  Any advise on how to find his army records would be greatly appreciated.  He was in Crinkhill around 1818 so he would have been British army.  Many thanks

There are no records for officers. The National Archives suggests you follow their career using the London Gazette website and the army lists. Some of the latter are online. For others you need to post his name.
