Hello,
I have Terras ancestors baptised in this church, founded 1845, closed 1903.
The family were Scottish in origins.
Where would Scottish Presbyterians have been buried, living in/around Chorlton upon Medlock?
Also, I have a John Terras died 1895 in Bowdon (whose children were baptised St Andrews presbyterian church) in a house overlooking Bowdon church, but he is not buried there, nor his wife. Their daughter was married in what was the Trinity Presbyterian church in Delamere Road, Bowdon/Altrincham in 1912-but there does not appear to be a burial ground for this church either.
Any thoughts on Presbyterian burials, CHORLTON, BOWDON, and ALTRINCHAM?

There doesn't seem to be burials records available.
Local Cemeteries would be Chorlton Row, Rusholme Rd (Now gone)
or Ardwick, neither have any records available online yet!
Find M* P***, are currently transcribing them, so they should be online sometime. (subscription needed)
If you cannot wait, Manchester Library does hold microfilms of these Cemeteries. If you have the correct dates of death, they do offer a look-up service £2.50 incl p&p.
You haven't mentioned names or dates? Possibly they could have been transcribed wrong form the burials books, which is really common or as the person taking the details will spell the name as they hear it.
If the Church didn't have it's own Graveyard, I think they could possibly be classed as Non Conformist in other Cemeteries?
You might be best posting on the Cheshire board for Bowdon & Altrincham queries on their Cemeteries.

James Terras died 1879 at 2 Lister Street, Chorlton (no longer there)
Sarah, his first wife, died 7 Jan 1848, Chorlton. The family were at Bridge Street, Chorlton, at that time.
Some of their children died young:
James 1838
Margaret 1842
Charlotte 1846
Elizabeth 1847
Helen (Ellen), his 2nd wife, died 1895.
Surname also spelt Tarras, Tarres, Tayras, Tayres etc on records (broad Fife accent made for difficulties, I guess)
Will try the Cheshire board also.
