My Great Grandfather was born in Sweden, but was naturalised in 1875. In the 1891 census it states his place of birth as B.S. Sweden, can anyone tell me what the B.S. means
many thanks

B.S.= British Subject, meaning that he was a British citizen but born in Sweden.
