Can you include details of any census/IGI/BMD info that you already have please - it saves us wasting time duplicating info you may already have

Hello CaroleW
Thank you very much for your reply. I always put in as much information as I have so that it makes it easier for the searchers.
Sorry that is all I know.
Thank you again

Hi
You clearly haven't just plucked their names out of thin air so where did you get the info from re: his birthyear and birthplace and where did you get Ann's maiden name from?
If you are a descendant of one of their children - you must have details of that child
If you are not a direct descendant - tell us where this couple fit into your FH as this is all info which helps us to help you

A parent search on the IGI Beta site shows a son born in Surrey in 1826 - have you checked that site

The IGI has a number of submitted entries for the children of this couple - have you checked the IGI first?

Hello CaroleW
I see the error of my ways. Of course they had children and that is important.
William and Ann had the following children:
William b 1826 London
Mary Ann b 24 May 1829 London
Emma b 1833 London
Eliza b 1835
Thanks for your help

Hi David, I can see the concern of how do you know the maiden name of Ann, as the marriage of a William Griffin to an Ann Laxton/Loxton was by Banns last being read 18th Dec 1826 St Mary, Hornsey Rise, but their are other marriages of Ann's to a William Griffin in London that could also be her?
There is an 1841 census with a Mary Ann aged 12, an Emma aged 8 and an Eliza aged 6, but with a James aged 14, parents William and Ann in Isleworth Middx.
Census Ref HO107/658/ 8/29/ 18
Was William a Policeman?

Hi keyboard86
I believe the 1841 census has them. That fits the three girls perfectly and I had a James b 1811 so I discounted him.
Sorry I don't know William's profession.
Thank you so much for your help.

You posted your original enquiry several years ago.
Did you locate the information that you were looking for?
If not, I can tell you all !!!
Ann Loxton is my Great-Great-Great Grandmother.
Kind regards, from Australia,
