Title: info on John and Elizabeth McCrea

Hi iam looking for info on my ,great gran parents john mccrea and elizabeth hall i know that they married in nov 1902 and that my gran father thomas was born in 1904 and he married may dowds around 1928 but i cant find any thing on my great gran parents in the census....any help welcome..jim

Hi they where married in one of two places 1/ st pauls catholic church or st peters church both in belfast in 1902.  i can get thier certs for this but it the info on the census that iam looking for.. jim

Hi Familyroutes thanks for the info. It shows up a name that i didnt know about and 2 deaths of children that has never been mentioned before.. again many thanks for the info...jim

this may be their marriage 9 Feb 1902 John MCCREA to  Elizabeth Hall. Belfast Roman Catholic Church (Belfast Urban 6) County Antrim
fathers- James McCrea & John Hall

        I to have John McCrea and Lizzie Hall grandparents. My father John Joseph McCrea born 1910@
Stanhope st died Birmingham 1991. My G grandparents James McCrea house painter and Catherine
McKinley, there children   Jane 1865,   Susan 7 may 1866@ 25 Woodland st Belfast no 3,
James 7 June 1869 Belfast no 2, Catherine 7 Nov 1871 Belfast no3, Thomas 1 July 1874@
13 Union Place,  John 16 Jan 1880.
21 April 1900 James McCrea house painter,father James McCrea house painter@ 8 Durham st wed
Lucy Kerr book folder, father James Kerr@ 10 Millford st St Peter's RC Chapel Belfast
18 July 1879 Susan McCrea wed James McNulty Belfast urban 1

Hi gallsouth thank you very much for the info it fills alot of missing parts...again thank you.  So your father was my gran fathers brother.   sorry to hear of his passing.  Marie have you looked on the irish census for 1911 and you will see that who ever was recording the information miss spelt their surname  as Macray.  Your father and my gran father lived at 45.1 Stanhope st in ardoyne in 1911. Marie i dont know if you know this but the other childern who lived there were James aged 7 who i believed died in england, Sarah aged 4,and Daniel aged 3  i have never heard of any one speak of these children.  I have other names of brothers and sisters who where born after the 1911 census and they are michael (micky) also believed died in england,  susan wed peter ohanlon, kathleen wed john mcdonald and mary wed john mc auley.  Marie you probably have all this but the census of 1901 state that your gr gran father had died. And that catherine had died by the time the 1911 census came around.    Marie i will go now and hope you are in good health..    jim

You can see the actual census return here- John Macray filled out the form and signed it himself.

There was no actual house number- 45.1 is the number on the census form.

My husbands great 3rd great grandmother is Catherine McCrea.  A sister to John McCrea who married Elizabeth Hall.  Catherine married to William Moylan.
