Hi
I am researching the CROFT(S) family who lived in Little Gringley and seem to have used Clarborough parish church.
I have James and Ann Crofts baptising children there 1821 - 1827. Then there is marriage of James Crofts and Mary Theaker in 1833 and subsequent baptisms of their children.
I think Mary is the 2nd wife of James and that Ann CROFTS died between 1827-1833.
I would be grateful for any burials for Ann Crofts in this period (or any other Crofts in this parish)
Many thanks

Hi Carol,
Thanks for taking time to look if there were burials available for Clarborough.
In their absence, the Clarborough MI's were an unexpected bonus.
William Crofts 1 Dec 1922 (3) ? aged 74
Susannah Crofts 1 Jan 1929 aged 66
relate to James & Mary's son and his second wife
I'm not quite sure about "William Crofts of Little Gringley died 3 Jan 1906 aged 43" but think he is probably a grandson. I will check him out
Many thanks again for your help

Hi Carol,
Thanks for taking the time to seach out more information for me.
I was pleased to see that my suspicion that James had married twice was confirmed by the burial of his first wife Ann in 1832 and his remarriage in 1833 to Mary Theaker.
I think Francis buried in 1827 is probably his father.
Many thanks again for your help
Maureen
