Does anybody have or know where I can get a picture/photo of the former manse that was in Paradise Road, Dundee? It was the residence of the Rev. George Gilfillan of the United Presbyterian Church from about 1838 to 1878. His actual church was located on what was then School Wynd.

A lot of Paradise Road was demolished when the road around Dundee city centre was built, however 6 Pardise Road (Marrbank) is a listed building and may be the one that you are looking for.
Use the following to view the current building and street.

Hi markw78,
Thanks for getting in touch. The map is very helpful. Apologies to Throth and Bleckie for not originally getting back in touch to thank you for your feedback. Usually I am very prompt with replies. Cannot think why I forgot to do so in your cases. I hang my head in shame.

Hi Doddie, Rev George Gilfillan and School Wynd Dundee Rang a bell. He was a supporter of working class poets and I own a 1st edition of a book which without his support may never have been printed.I can’t remember the exact title( son-in-law has it at the moment ) but think it is Autobiography Songs and Poems of Ellen Johnston the Factory Girl.
