If anyone has access to the index could he please check for a Marriage of Harry Baker to Martha between approximately 1805 to 1815? Martha's surname may have been Makin/s or Mekin/s or Meachans, or Matthison. Harry Baker was born in Chatham, Kent and Martha, in London, MIddlesex. They lived in Winchester, Hampshire. Their marriage is not on Ancestry, or British Origins, Pallot's or Boyds, or in Hampshire. Thanks so much!

Hi Kingsleigh,
I think you need to be very careful here as it is possible that Martha is a second Wife and the older Children in 1841 Census may have another Mother.
Or they could even be Marthas Children from a previous marriage.
I would suggest you get (Eliza) Matildas Birth Cert to confirm her Mothers maiden name.
Christenings Winchester, Hampshire;
MARTHA 26 November 1826 to HARRY/MARTHA
JORDAN 19 April 1829 to HENRY/MARTHA
LYDIA 06 July 1834 to HENRY/MARTHA
CECILIA 01 February 1836 to HARRY/MARTHA
ELIZA MATILDA 04 August 1839 to HARRY/MARTHA
(Source Familysearch Pilot)
I cant find Mary Ann, Charles, Frederics Christenings
For other who may wish to help Census details of Family;
HO107/410/7/St John
HO107/1674/395/17
None of the girls from 1841 are at home in 1851.
1861 Cecilia is in Middlesex RG9/77/154/18
1851 she is possibly down as born Chertsey, Surrey in Staines, Middlesex
HO107/1696/295/24
She is with 2 Simonds Sisters and strangely I found this Marriage earlier;
Henry BAKER
Martha SIMONDS
17 April 1833, Bletchingdon, Oxford, Oxford, England (IGI Extracted)
Now was Henry/Harry Married to 2 Marthas?
Am I completely mad?
Feel free to help sort this out you brilliant Rootschatters :)
