Please help!
I am looking foe information re Selina Jane Brown who married Walter Taylor Lunt in kentish Town 10.6.1888 (cerificate seen). Her father stated to be George Brown. On the 1901 census Selina stated to be born in Wellingborough, 1870. I cannot find record of her birth, Can anyone help?
Many thanks, Roy.
NB I have seen a birth record of Eliza Jane Brown,Wellingborough 1870, could this be her?

What was her Father George's occupation shown as on the 1888 marriage papers?
1871 census of St Pancras, London - RG10/Piece: 241 Folio: 21 Page: 38 @ St Pancras Square?
George Brown 44 Household Head born Northants, Ecton*: a Labourer
??ford? Brown 32 Wife ditto
Selina Brown 9 Months dau ditto
* Ecton is in the Wellingborough Regn District.
I'd bet this is her Birth Regn - even tho the census says Ecton.
Births Sep 1870
Brown Selina Pancras 1b 153
In 1881 her mother is 'Sarah A' - certainly didnt look like that in 1871 (was transcribed Coinford - but I couldnt see it !)

I didnt bother with the marriage as the focus seemed more on Selina's origins - but the witnesses may solve the unreadable mother's name in 1871;-

1861 census of Ecton (Wellingborough District) - RG9/Piece: 951 Folio: 18 Page: 18 @ Front Street

Valley Jelley 39 Wife born Whysmington: a Lace Maker
Comfort Jelley 22 dau Ecton : a Lacemaker

Given their ages, Valley is obviously not Comfort's mother - so a 2nd marriage, as Uriah was a Widower in 1851

Thanks for all the replies, such a lot to take in. My problems started because "find my past" do not show Selina Brown in the 1871 census transcript although she appears in the original image.
Thanks again, Roy.
