Is anyone able to help me with look ups for James and his wife Edith Julia? They emigrated in 1912 from England.
In 1915 they were living at 95a Miller Avenue Toronto. That is all we know, don't know when they died or if they came back to England at any time.
Thanks if anyone can help.

It's not much help, but he was still listed in the 1918 directory:

There is a death in the Toronto Star dated 25 May 1943 for a James Thomas Ansell. There are no details as to age or family in the notice. I couldn't find anything for Edith. Perhaps someone who has better access to the Toronto Star archives can help or you can search for yourself at their website http://www.pagesofthepast.ca/. It's a pay site but it isn't too expensive. You are better off to just search for their surname - I've found that using the exact phrase feature with the full name doesn't work very well and using all the words gets too many hits.

RootsChat is amazing! 10 years since I put on the request,
Thank you *Sandra*
I've wondered what happened to Edith, if she came back to England but can't find any evidence for
that.
I've discovered with family history that it can take a long time to get answers. It was on RootsChat
I found out what happened to my late mother-in-laws half brother 80 years since she last saw him.

Couple had no children in 1921 when they were both aged about 40 so not sure we would find any.
Did make a note that Edith Ansell (widow) was still at 96 Eileen Avenue, York West in 1945.
I wonder if Park Lawn Cemetery would have a record of Edith being buried with James ?
