Post by: bdmayes on Monday 16 May 11 11:18 BST (UK)
Can anyone assist with the baptism of Matthew Mickleburgh around 1816 and probably in Banham.

Many thanks

Do you have him on any census as I cannot find an entry that matches his profile

He is in the 1841 census in Banham aged 25 with his wife Eliza (nee Spurling). He died before 1857 when his widow remarried. I am trying to establish if he is a son of William Mickleburgh and Sarah Matthews who married in Banham in 1791 and who had at least 5 children in Banham up to 1808.

Hi Brian,

Looks like you are right.  Here's Matthew Mickleburgh's baptism, 31 March 1816, Banham, son of William and Sarah.  From the Archdeacon's Transcripts on the Family Search pilot site - http://www.rootschat.com/links/0d8t/

Hi,

You may have already found the following but there is a Norfolk Mickelburgh family post in the Norfolk Completed Lookups which might be of interest to you.

http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,146157.0.html

The name Mickelburgh rung a bell (no idea why) so I did a RootsChat search on the name and came up with that lot, I'm wondering if the person who posted it might be able to come up with something to help you.

The search also brought up two other posts, yours of course and a Suffolk? Mickelburgh topic.

Bit of a long shot I know but you never know your luck!  ;D

Regards.

Hi, my name is Sharon Mickelborough.  My husbands' family descend from James  and Charlotte Jennis and I have his father as Tuttle Mann.  I was wondering if you have any further information how Tuttle Mann has a son named Mickleburgh?
Thank you, Sharon
