Hello,
Some ancestor/ relatives lived in st Asaph around the time of WW2. William F Roadknight died at age 80 in 1939 and his wife Deborah A. Roadknight, or Dora, died @ 90 in 1946.
This is the sum total of info I have about them in Wales at this stage!
Prior to that they possibly lived in the Isle of Wight.
Anything at all would be of great interest- perhaps if anyone has access to the census records around this time and wouldn't mind looking them up, it would be fantastic. Or newspaper or cemetery records......I live in Australia and only have online access...
William was originally from Aylesbury, Bucks., in England while Deborah was from Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire.
Thanks in advance to any kind family historians out there!
Cheers
Rosie

The latest census information available is 1911, and even that's only fully available to subscribers.
England & Wales have a 100-year privacy rule.
However, 1901 census:
Reference RG13, Piece 1355, Folio 172, Page 9
98 High Street, Aylsbury, Buckinghamshire
Roadknight, William F Head M 41 Printer's Compositor b Walton Aylesbury, Bucks
Roadknight, Dora Wife F 43 b Leighton Buzzard
Groom, William Father-in-Law M 76 Living On Own Means b Leighton Buzzard
I can also confirm that they were living on the Isle of Wight in 1911.
Going back to 1881, we find:
Reference RG11, Piece 1473, Folio 35, Page 20

And finally, a marriage:

wow, thank you SO MUCH for the info- and that was super quick!!!!
That's great info too. Of course- I should have realised the census wouldn't be available at that stage for the WW2 era. Thanks for reminding me!
Amazing effort. Thank you heaps and all the best with your own research.
Cheers
