I am looking for info on Rev. William Davies b 1851 in Cilgerran, s/o Owen Davies & Esther Thomas. William was a Baptist Minister, who preached at Horeb, Casmael, Maenclochog & Carmel. He died at the age of 49 in Paenclochog, Pembrokeshire and is buried at Horeb. I would very much like to know the name of his wife and his daughter.

Thank you so much for your fast response. I can see now why I couldn't find his marriage. I would have never thought to look in Paddington. Do you know if Henry's Mote is near Horeb where he died. It's funny how the names keep going around he had a sister Heti Elina that died at age 14. Thanks again, maybe now I can find what happened to Anice and Hetty. Ta :D

Henry's Moat is slightly north & west of Maenclochog village. Next village, if it is big enough to qualify as a village. They are adjoining parishes.
Horeb chapel lies on the road between the two. Not sure which parish it is in. The minister's house is right by the chapel.

Do you have his obit from the Baptist Union Handbook?
If not, I have access to the editions for around the 1900 period this Wednesday and get a copy. One challenge though is that I can't see his details in the Baptist Historical Society's index

Can you confirm his dates and if you want a copy (if available).

It would appear that William's brother was also a preacher, I note in the 1861 Thomas aged 20 yrs a Local Baptist Preacher resides with his parent Owen & Esther Davies.
I searched the Record Office to see if there are any registers deposited for the Horeb Chapel ~ alas none.

Yes, I do have a copy. Thomas was indeed a Baptist minister, he was my greatgreatgrandfather. It was the Baptist Handbook death annoucement that got me searching for him. But thands anyways. Does the Handbook only have the deaths or does it have other useful info?
