Thank you for trying to help. This is not the record I'm afraid.
Census searches will not unfortunately solve my query. I have exhausted that possibility myself.
If someone knows of any birth/christening record of a Charles Avery born 1808/09 with a father called Charles I would be most grateful.
Thanks

Hi Andrew
Can you tell us where he is on the 1841 census, either address or reference numbers, and who he married so we know which is 'your' Charles Avery?
Sometimes we need extra information and go in roundabout ways to find out what you need to know.

Hi
In your previous post on the London and Middlesex board you seem to be indicating it was the Charles Avery (only obvious candidate on the 1841 census in Middlesex not born in county) who married Elizabeth Cotton in 1839 civil registration district Kensington that you were interested in. Elizabeth was certainly a widow in Hammersmith on the 1851 census.

As Dawn has said if this isn't the Charles Avery you now think is the correct one can you give us the full details of the 1841 census entry for the right candidate and also Charles' father's information from his marriage.

The poster was also looking for a Charlotte Avery in 1851- who by then was widowed..........is she the wife of this Charles perhaps?
