Joseph Drew (Lieutenent 17th Lancers) married Dorothea Dunton in Islington just before or at the start of WWI. They had one son - Dennis. Joseph died in Hitchin around 1957. Does any one recognise any of this? Perhaps Dennis has some family still in Hitchin? Help!

It looks like Dennis married in Dorset.

If you check FreeBMD you will find children born to Dennis in that same area. Cannot put those details on here as most likely those children are still living.

Hello,
My Great-grandfather was Walter Nelson Drew, Joseph Holland Drew's younger brother. Presently I am researching Frederick John Staunton Drew, their other brother, who was killed in action in WW1. Perhaps we might be able to help each other out?
I have their baptism records from Ireland. Their father Frederick Julius Drew (my great-great grandfather), was also in the 17th Lancers and fought in South Africa.
Hope to hear from you,
Chris

Hi Chris
I have some photographs of Joseph Holland Drew in his uniform, which you might be interested in. I would like to learn more about his brothers.
Joseph was my grandfather. If wish to get in touch please do.
