Title: Wilson
Post by: 7blue1pink on Monday 09 May 11 13:28 BST (UK)
Hi Anyone have any idea how to find out who was living in Andersons lane St John Lincoln april to sept 1854?
Would like more info on a Jane Wilson who gives that address in1854 (August I believe) says she is the wife of chair bottomer George...and has just had baby George.
Not sure where to look next!  Thanks

I'm afraid I can see any realistic prospect of finding out what you are wanting to know. :(

Anderson's Lane was less than a dozen houses rented by (generally) labourers, people who wouldn't be in directories or electoral lists.

I had ancestors live in Anderson's Lane for several years.

Hi 7blue1pink,
I am not sure why you need that info?
Is it because supposed Husband George is never at home on Census data?
What is Janes Maiden Name from the Birth Cert of George 1854?
Do you actually have the Birth Cert or has the info been given to you by someone else?

Do you have them on any Census together?
Sorry more questions than answers at this stage.

Trish :)

hi,

Yes I got cert 1854 (hoping for jane hatrick/attrick as mother's MN) Instead it said jane price formerly wilson.  As I do have a link with the name wilson I thought it possible that my family of hattricks may well have been born wilsons...with the man of the house , Samuel hatrick on 1841 census, coming onto the scene later on.
Jane Price gave andersons lane st john lincoln on the cert (and by finding them I had hoped to see if this family had a dau alice too as this may well then still be my family link)  It seems Im never going to know where I came from.  Ive tried every which way, yet am still no further from working it out.  Its very very frustrating.. :-[
