Title: Is this a spelling error?? St Ewe
Post by: GWENDOLINE on Monday 25 April 05 08:41 BST (UK)
Whilst researching my ancestors from Cornwall, I have come across St Ewe is this a spelling mistake and should be St Ives or is there a place called St Ewe and whereabouts is it in Cornwall?

There does seem to be a St Ewe in Cornwall. It is listed on Genuki:

It seems to be near St Austell.

Best regards,

Emily

As a St. Austell girl, St. Ewe is near Mevagissey.  The Lost Gardens of Heligan are very near to this small village.
