Hello.
Below are two photos which may be of interest to DICK family researchers. I have information that in 1909 Robert DICK was giving his occupation as "Otahuhu Chemical Works" Manager, on a Waikato mortgage. I assume he is the same man associated with these two photos. Family are invited to PM me to exchange info.

Hi Allan,
Lovely Photos and I wish I was related.
How kind of you to post them.
I have found a Family Tree with Robert DICK, born c 1845, Stirlingshire, Scotland.
Died 1919, Otahuhu.
Occupation, Chemist.
Sound likely???
I have sent them a message just in case.
Trish :)

Hello Trish.
Thank you for that.
I did not find any researchers through a RC search, but thought I would post in case someone was researching their family, and did not have access to these photos.

Hi Alan, thank you so much for posting the photos. They are great. Robert DICK married Helen GAFF, who was the sister of my husband's g.g. grandmother, Margaret Gaff who married Alexander GILLESPIE. Robert & Helen emigrated to New Zealand, and then their son William Robert Dick married Margaret & Alexander Gillespie's daughter Mary. William & Mary moved to Australia and both died here in NSW in 1962. One of the photos mentions McINDOE, but the only McIndoe connection that I know of is Mary Gillespie's sister, Jessie Bryson Gillespie, who married John Charles Stuart MacIndoe, and as far as I know, the family stayed in Scotland. I know of only three children of Robert & Helen Dick, Christina Masterton, William Robert and John Charles Gaff, but I was told that had at least one other son. I would love to know more about the photos. Thank you again, Helen.

Hi Helen,
I am glad you got in touch with Alan.
If you post 2 more times, just a quick hello to me will do, then you and Alan can correspond off Rootschat. ( after 3 postings the PM system is activated)
As we are getting into possible living people realm, it is best to keep info off-line.
Hopefully in the future other Descendants of the Family will come upon this also.
(this often happens by people googling)
Trish :)

Hello Helen.
I've left a PM [Private Messages for you] which will be activated for you, once you have made several posts, registering research items you want help with.
The little information that I have, can not be publically displayed. However together we should be able to hunt out more info, beneficial to both our lines of research.
Thanks for taking up Trish's invite.

Hello again Helen.
Thanks for the PM. I will look into the suggestion that the family photos could be those of James DICK and Jessie DICK nee McINDOE. I will scan the mortgage info that names Robert DICK.

Hello again.
Some more names to throw into the hat. While searching for something else, today I found a penciled note with plenty of question marks. James DICK & Bella McINDOE plus Thomas DICK and Jessie [?] - issue Joan - Auckland nurse; Matilda; Ivan; Grace married a WALLACE.
The musings of an elderly distant relative.
