HI!
I've been using the LDS 1881 census from my hard drive for ages without problems. I've just bought the British Vital Records, 2nd Edition and tried to add that to the hard drive too.
I can still access the Census without trouble, but when I try the BVR I get the error message:
Run time Error 76
Path not found C:\Vital\about\vri_bi00.bmp
This is obviously a problem with how I've set up the Registry, although I thought I'd followed the instructions (www.freepages....etc) to the letter.
Can anyone give me the correct Registry settings for the BVR please??!!
Thanks a lot,
Chris

The answer is given on my 1881 installation pages -
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/%7Eframland/framland/lvp.htm
Run time error 76 followed by D:\Census\bi1881\about\1881brit.bmp
This occurs when the first regional disk has not been all copied to the D:\Census\bi1881 folder ; solution re-copy the first regional disk to the folder.
If there is still a problem ensure that the Graphic path reads-
\about\1881brit.bmp
The intial blackslash (above) is important on some systems.
