My Great Grandfather James Billingsley was buried in Hanley Cemetery, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire on 26th March 1931. The grave number is 9904. There may be other members of the family there as well. If anyone could get a photo of headstone if there is one I would be very grateful.

Hi seanelly
Alf here, how can I help you?
-
Hi Alf Thank you for contacting me. I don't know if this is possible but I wondered if anyone out there who may go to Hanley cemetery if they could look and see if my Great Grandfather (and possibly great Grandmother) has a headstone. The plot number is 9904 and he died on 26th March 1931. I live a long way off and wouldn't want to make a special trip there if there's nothing to see. Grateful for any help or information you or anyone else may send me.
Kind Regards Fiona

Hi Fiona
Went to Hanley Cemetery to-day and I am sorry to say, no headstone to be found, not even a grave marker

Thank you so much for going to Hanley cemetary Alf. Disappointing there was nothing there but I suppose not surprising as they were a poor family, again thank you for taking the trouble to go, very much appreciated.
